ANWB Day (it's Almost Nearly WEBI, Baby! day)

On Sunday the 23rd of February, the WEBI preparation (ANWB!) day takes place! This day is meant to get you ready for a week in the snow, whether you are piste skiing or touring. It is up to you which activity you will attend, you can make this clear in the sign-up form. The planning of the day is as follows:

13:00 - 15:00 Pieps searching/avalanche rescue

In this training we will cover the complete process of avalanche rescue and will also practice more complex multi-burial scenarios. Be sure to be there, because practicing this skill is essential for touring!

14:30 - 16:00 Waxing

For everyone who has used their ski's or snowboard extensively last year, but did not take care of them since. There will be waxing and sharpening materials, and of course you will get some explanation of how it works. So take your own ski's or snowboard for a maintenance check.

15:30 - 17:00 Avalanche theory and planning

This will be an interactive session on avalanche theory and tour planning. Interesting for both beginners and participants with more advanced knowledge!
